Instructions
Follow these steps for an incredible Bucatini Cacio e Pepe:
1. Boil Water: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
2. Cook Bucatini: Add the bucatini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
3. Prepare Cheese and Pepper: While the pasta cooks, combine the grated Pecorino Romano and freshly cracked black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
4. Toss Pasta: Once the pasta is done cooking, drain it and immediately add it to the mixing bowl with the cheese and pepper.
5. Add Pasta Water: Add a little reserved pasta cooking water at a time while tossing the pasta to create a creamy sauce. Continue until the consistency is to your liking.
6. Serve Immediately: Drizzle with a little olive oil if desired. Serve right away while still hot.
