– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
– 1 cup shredded carrots
– 1 cup shredded cabbage
– ½ cup bean sprouts
– ¼ cup chopped green onions
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 1 package rice paper wrappers
– Vegetable oil, for frying
– Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Creating delicious chicken spring rolls is easy when you follow these steps:
1. Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Soak Rice Paper: Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds, until it becomes pliable. Remove and place it on a clean, flat surface.
3. Add Filling: Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture near the center of the rice paper.
4. Roll the Spring Roll: Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling. Then, starting from the bottom, tightly roll the wrapper over the filling until it’s fully wrapped. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
5. Heat Oil: In a large frying pan or wok, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
6. Fry the Rolls: Carefully add the spring rolls to the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
7. Drain Excess Oil: Remove the spring rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
8. Serve Warm: Enjoy the chicken spring rolls fresh and hot, accompanied by your favorite dipping sauce.
