Chocolate-Dipped Bunny Pretzels

  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bunny pretzels 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 mini pretzel twists (for the bunny’s face)
  • 48 mini pretzel sticks (for the ears)
  • 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts (melted)
  • 4 oz milk or dark chocolate (for details, optional)
  • Pink candy melts or pink sanding sugar (for the inner ears)
  • Edible candy eyes
  • Mini pink heart or round sprinkles (for the bunny’s nose)
  • 2 tsp coconut oil or shortening (to help with melting)
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat (for easy cleanup)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

Before you begin, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. This will prevent sticking and make cleanup easier. Have all your ingredients ready, as chocolate sets quickly once melted.

Step 2: Assemble the Bunny Shapes

Take one mini pretzel twist and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Position two mini pretzel sticks above the twist to create bunny ears. Make sure the ears are touching the top of the pretzel twist so they will stick together once dipped in chocolate. Repeat with the remaining pretzels.

Step 3: Melt the Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval to prevent burning. If needed, add a teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening to thin the chocolate for a smoother coating.

Step 4: Dip the Pretzels

Using a fork or dipping tool, carefully dip each pretzel bunny into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Let the excess drip off, then place it back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Work quickly before the chocolate sets.

Step 5: Add Facial Features

Before the chocolate hardens, press two edible candy eyes onto the face of each bunny. Place a small pink heart or round sprinkle in the center for the nose. If the chocolate starts to harden too quickly, use a toothpick to dab a little melted chocolate onto the eyes and nose to help them stick.

Step 6: Decorate the Ears

Melt the pink candy melts in a small bowl. Using a toothpick or piping bag, carefully add a small amount of pink chocolate to the inside of the pretzel stick “ears” for a realistic bunny effect. Alternatively, you can sprinkle pink sanding sugar onto the wet chocolate for a fun texture.

Step 7: Optional Chocolate Details

For extra detail, melt the milk or dark chocolate and use a toothpick or piping bag to draw whiskers or an outlined mouth. This step is optional but adds a cute finishing touch.

Step 8: Let Them Set

Allow the pretzels to sit at room temperature or in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened.

Step 9: Serve and Enjoy!

Once set, your Chocolate-Dipped Bunny Pretzels are ready to be enjoyed! Serve them immediately or store them in an airtight container for later.
