Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken strips with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  2. Whisk in the flour to form a roux, cooking for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce begins to thicken, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble the Wraps

  1. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous spoonful of the creamy garlic sauce over the center.
  2. Add a portion of the cooked chicken strips on top of the sauce.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese over the chicken.
  4. Add a handful of baby spinach or shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and any optional toppings like avocado or bacon.
  5. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.

Step 4: Warm the Wraps (Optional)

  1. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy.
