Ingredients

Scale

For the Rice Krispies eggs:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • Cooking spray (for shaping)

Optional decorations:

  • 1 cup white or dark chocolate, melted
  • ½ cup pastel-colored candy melts
  • Assorted sprinkles
  • Edible glitter or sugar pearls
  • Colored icing for designs

Instructions

1. Melt the marshmallows and butter

  • In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter, stirring occasionally.

  • Add the mini marshmallows and continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.

  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.

2. Mix in the Rice Krispies cereal

  • Immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture.

  • Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently fold the cereal into the mixture until fully coated.

3. Shape into Easter eggs

  • Lightly grease your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  • Scoop about ¼ cup of the mixture and shape it into an egg form by rolling it between your hands.

  • Place the shaped eggs onto a parchment-lined tray and allow them to set for 10-15 minutes.

4. Decorate the Easter eggs

  • Once the Rice Krispies eggs are set, dip them in melted chocolate or colored candy melts.

  • Add sprinkles, sugar pearls, or drizzle with icing for a decorative touch.

  • Use piping bags or edible markers to draw Easter-themed designs like zigzags, polka dots, or stripes.

5. Let them set and serve

  • Allow the decorated eggs to fully dry and set at room temperature for 10 minutes.

  • Once set, arrange them on a festive platter and enjoy!
