  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 25–35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 filled strawberries 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Strawberries

  • 24 large, fresh strawberries (firm and ripe)
  • Paper towels (for drying strawberries after rinsing)

Option A: Sweet Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons heavy cream or milk (to loosen texture if needed)

Option B: Whipped Mascarpone Filling

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2–3 tablespoons whipped cream folded in for lightness

Option C: Chocolate Ganache Filling

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional for extra shine)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Option D: Greek Yogurt Mousse (Light Version)

  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream or coconut whipped topping

Optional Garnishes

  • Crushed nuts (pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts)
  • Shaved chocolate or mini chocolate chips
  • Graham cracker or cookie crumbs
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Drizzle of melted chocolate or honey
  • Edible flowers or citrus zest

Instructions

1. Prepare the Strawberries

  • Gently rinse strawberries and pat completely dry.
  • Slice off the green tops so the strawberries can stand upright.
  • Using a small knife or melon baller, carefully scoop out the center of each berry to create a cavity for filling.
  • Set aside on a paper towel-lined tray.

2. Make the Filling

Option A: Cream Cheese

  • Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add cream if needed for a pipeable texture.

Option B: Mascarpone

  • Mix mascarpone, sweetener, lemon zest, and vanilla.
  • Fold in whipped cream for extra lightness if desired.

Option C: Chocolate Ganache

  • Heat cream until hot but not boiling.
  • Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 1–2 minutes.
  • Stir until smooth; add butter and salt for richness.
  • Let cool slightly before piping.

Option D: Yogurt Mousse

  • Whisk together yogurt, sweetener, and vanilla.
  • Fold in whipped cream for airy texture.

3. Fill the Strawberries

  • Spoon filling into a piping bag or zip-top bag with a snipped corner.
  • Pipe the filling neatly into each hollowed strawberry until just full or slightly over the edge in a swirl.
  • For ganache, ensure it’s cooled slightly to avoid dripping too much.

4. Garnish and Decorate

  • Sprinkle filled strawberries with your choice of toppings: chopped nuts, chocolate shavings, cookie crumbs, or drizzle.
  • Garnish with mint leaves or a small edible flower for an elegant touch.
  • Chill for 15–20 minutes if preparing ahead, or serve immediately.
  • Prep Time: 25 minutes
  • Cook Time: None (chill time optional)
