Honey Glazed Salmon

  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for added depth)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika (if using). Set the mixture aside.
  2. Season the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
  4. Flip and glaze: Flip the salmon fillets carefully using a spatula. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the prepared glaze over the fillets. Allow the salmon to cook for another 3–4 minutes, spooning the glaze over the top as it cooks.
  5. Caramelize the glaze: Continue cooking until the glaze thickens slightly and forms a glossy coating on the salmon. Be careful not to overcook—salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish and serve: Transfer the salmon to a serving plate, drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the top, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
