Simple Rotisserie Chicken Wraps

  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Wraps:

  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 4 large tortillas (whole wheat, flour, or gluten-free)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (romaine, iceberg, or spinach)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced or mashed (optional)

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing, Caesar dressing, or hummus
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for a tangy kick)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Grated carrots
  • Pickles or banana peppers
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley, or basil)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Start by shredding the rotisserie chicken into bite-sized pieces. You can use the breast meat, thigh meat, or a mix of both, depending on your preference. Wash and dry your vegetables, then chop or slice them as needed.

Step 2: Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), ranch dressing (or your preferred sauce), and Dijon mustard. Taste and adjust the flavors to your liking. If you prefer a spicy kick, add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Step 3: Assemble the Wraps

  1. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface or cutting board. Spread a thin layer of the sauce over the center of the tortilla, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges.
  2. Layer the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and any additional veggies you’re using.
  3. Add about 1/2 cup of shredded rotisserie chicken on top of the veggies.
  4. If you’re using avocado, place the slices or mashed avocado on top of the chicken.

Step 4: Roll the Wraps

  1. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward to keep the filling secure.
  2. Starting from the bottom edge, tightly roll the tortilla upward, enclosing the filling.
  3. Place the wrap seam-side down to keep it from unrolling.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

Cut the wrap in half diagonally for easy serving, or leave it whole if you prefer. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes or dips, such as chips, fresh fruit, or a small salad.
